The following was emailed to the CCHCA board concerning temporary Census jobs that are now available.
2020 Census Jobs Available!
The goal of the 2020 Census is to count everyone once, only once and in the right place.
As mandated by the U.S. Constitution, our nation gets just one chance each decade to count its population. The U.S. census counts every resident in the United States. The data collected by the census determine the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives and is also used to distribute billions in federal funds to local communities.
We are hiring for a variety of temporary jobs, including census takers, recruiting assistants, office staff, and supervisory staff. To be eligible, you must be at least 18 years old, have a valid Social Security number, and be a U.S. citizen.
Candidates must complete an online job application at 2020census.gov/jobs. The application process takes about 30 minutes. You will need to provide your Social Security number, home address, email address, phone number, and your date and place of birth. Veterans who are claiming preference will also need to submit documentation of eligibility.
